Anatomy of a Revolution or Not?  From the Front lines.

Jesus casts out the moneychangers.

— Rev Bruce Wright
June 6, 2020

So here is the Problem that I saw firsthand while at the site in Minneapolis where George Floyd was lynched and murdered by Police.  White Evangelicals, who are otherwise supporting an openly racist and fascist President — the Orange Julius Caesar Trump —come to the sacred site of where George Floyd was murdered …  and try to convert people to Jesus.  Not the real Revolutionary Jesus, a person of color, of Indigenous people enslaved by an Empire, who overturned the Merchandisers in the Temple, and destroyed property, but instead the Jesus of the sweet bye and bye.  Just like the white slave masters did to the slaves.

Then they preach love, without real repentance on the part of White privilege.  I witnessed them being sectarian, as they drove away some Muslims, and others who weren’t “Christians.”  I witnessed a young Trans person, who I interviewed, express their hurt, their heart break, as so called Christians stood in judgment of them.

As expected, some liberals and supposed anarchists are bringing up Maduro’s problems. Not sure how that justifies US intervention and war. Obviously, these people either do not know or deny how the US via the CIA and other ways has intervened globally and wrecked havoc. Sometimes Liberals and so called Anarchists, probably trust fund babies, are useful idiots for Capitalism and Imperialism. So let the accusations reactionary voices respond.

Stein / Baraka in Solidarity with Venezuela and Maduro!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

“I stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela!” says Robin Harris, co-chair of the Green Party of Florida, in response to the U.S. government’s latest maneuvers to depose the democratically elected President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and bring in a right-wing regime that would hand over that country’s mineral wealth to the powerful oligarchs that are still a dangerous force in that country under siege.

Robin Harris, Co-Chair, Green Party of Florida.

“The Green Party of Florida rallies strongly against imperialism, capitalism and the fascist tactics that the U.S and Juan Guaidó, head of the U.S.-backed opposition, have wielded against this country,” Harris continues.  “We also denounce Donald Trump’s affirmation of Juan Guaidó as president.  It violates all democratic process and is a total violation of human rights.”

Years of sabotage and economic warfare.

Harris is joined by Jill Stein, the Green Party’s presidential candidate in 2012 and 2016, and her 2016 running mate Ajamu Baraka, head of the Black Alliance for Peace.

Black is Back! — and so is the anti-war movement.

WASHINGTON, DC, November 3, 2018 — It was a chilly autumn afternoon in Washington, DC as my mother Maggie Gouldin and I wandered to Malcom X Park for the Black Is Back Coalition’s annual march to the White House.  As colorful fall leaves crunched beneath our shoes, I saw an African flag — the Red, Black and Green waving triumphantly in the distance and I knew we had found our destination.  The chill in the air didn’t dampen the red hot revolutionary spirit of that crowd as they gathered to demand nothing less than the total liberation of Black people and all the colonized people of the world.

It was once called Armistice Day

It was the day the killing stopped, 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of November, 1918. The killing had included 10 million soldiers and some 7 million civilians.

I first ran this piece on November 11, 2015.  I will keep running it until there is no need to run it ever again.

At the front, there was no celebration …

From the account of Colonel Thomas Gowenlock, an American intelligence officer on the front line that November morning:

“All over the world on November 11, 1918, people were celebrating, dancing in the streets, drinking champagne, hailing the armistice that meant the end of the war.  But at the front there was no celebration.  Many soldiers believed the Armistice only a temporary measure and that the war would soon go on.  As night came, the quietness, unearthly in its penetration, began to eat into their souls.

Green Party of Florida calls for Peace Treaty Process on Korean Peninsula

Green Party of Florida calls for a Peace Treaty Process on the Korean Peninsula

August 24, 2017

The Green Party of Florida joins the United States and South Korean Green Parties in calling for a political and diplomatic solution to the Korean War instead of further militarization of the situation. Green Parties across the world have called for global nuclear disarmament and a transfer of military funding to humanitarian programs including the fight against climate change.

Further escalation of military tensions on the Korean Peninsula does nothing to honor the sacrifice of the more than 35,000 United States service members who have already given their lives, or the more than 100,000 service members wounded in action in the Korean War. The Green Party of Florida remembers the over three million global citizens whose lives have already been ended by this conflict. The Green Party of Florida acknowledges the plight of the citizens of North Korea, who remain among the world’s poorest and most internationally isolated.

The Green Party of Florida demands that the United States government exhaust all diplomatic and political solutions to the Korean War before threating a return to open and active hostilities. The Green Party of Florida supports a suspension of U. S. and South Korean joint military exercises on the Korean Peninsula that serve only to make North Korea feel threatened and do not advance the cause of peace. The Green Party of Florida supports a return to the United Nations Security Council plus China sponsored Peace Treaty Process with the goals of the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and a Peace Treaty which ends the Korean War and provides both North and South Korea with a peaceful road map to future success and prosperity.
